Magento to Shopify migration

Magento is powerful, but every change goes through a developer and every upgrade is a project. We move the store to Shopify — the same capability at a fraction of the running cost, manageable by your own team.

Magento stores usually reach us for one of two reasons: Magento 1 support ended long ago, or Magento 2 hosting and maintenance costs have outgrown the store itself. Either way the answer is the same — a platform where security patches, servers and speed are the platform’s job.

Magento’s specifics demand migration experience: attribute sets are mapped onto Shopify’s variant and metafield logic, configurable products become variants, and customer groups with tier pricing move into Shopify B2B. Large catalogs — thousands of SKUs — are imported in controlled batches.

Like every migration we run, it starts with a URL audit and ends with a 301 map. Years of accumulated Google rankings are an asset we do not gamble with.

What the price includes

  • Catalog and attribute mapping into Shopify logic
  • Products, variants and images — thousands at a time
  • Customer accounts, groups and order history
  • B2B price lists carried into Shopify B2B
  • A 301 redirect map for every old URL
  • Payments and shipping configured for your market
  • Parallel test run before go-live
  • Google Search Console monitoring for 30 days after

How the move works

  1. 01

    Audit and mapping

We inventory the catalog, attributes, customer groups and URLs, and produce the migration plan.

  2. 02

    Data migration

We import the catalog in stages, build the store and configure the B2B logic.

  3. 03

    Parallel testing

Magento keeps selling until the Shopify store has been proven with real orders.

  4. 04

    Go-live and monitoring

We point the domain, activate the 301s and watch indexing and rankings for 30 days.

Frequently asked questions

Is a catalog of 10,000+ products a problem on Shopify?

No — Shopify handles large catalogs well. We import in controlled batches, verify each one, and keep the variant structure clean so filtering and search stay fast.

What happens to customer groups and B2B pricing?

Magento customer groups are mapped to Shopify B2B companies and price lists. Reverse-charge VAT and EU VAT number checks for B2B sales are configured in the same pass.

How long does a Magento migration take?

Typically 4–8 weeks depending on catalog size and integrations. The old store keeps selling the whole time — there is no downtime.
