Shopify migration — move your store without losing rankings
We carry products, customers and order history over from your old platform and map a 301 redirect for every URL. Google sees a proper move, not a new store — rankings and revenue survive.
The biggest fear about replatforming is justified: a careless migration can wipe out rankings that took years to earn — and the revenue that came with them. That is why our migrations always start with an audit: we inventory your current URLs, rankings and traffic before anything moves.
Data is exported and cleaned in stages: products with variants and images, customer accounts, order history and discount codes. WooCommerce and Magento quirks — attributes, configurable products, multilingual content — are translated into Shopify’s logic with hand-checked rules.
The new store is built alongside the old one, and before go-live we run both in parallel: comparing data, test-driving the checkout and switching the domain only when everything matches. Downtime is measured in hours, not days.

- Products with variants, images and prices
- Customer accounts and order history
- Discount codes and gift cards
- Content pages, blog posts and meta data
- A 301 redirect map for every old URL
- Payments and shipping configured in the new store
- Parallel run and data comparison before go-live
How the migration runs
- 01
Audit & mapping
We inventory the old store’s URLs, rankings and data structure and draw up the migration plan.
- 02
Data transfer
We export and import products, customers and orders, then verify the result line by line.
- 03
Parallel run
The new store runs on a staging domain next to the old one — we compare data and test payments and shipping with real orders.
- 04
Switchover
We activate the 301 redirects, switch the domain and watch rankings daily through the first weeks.
Frequently asked questions
Will my Google rankings survive?
Yes — if the migration is done right. We map a 301 redirect for every old URL, carry over meta data and keep the URL structure as close as possible. Small fluctuations in the first weeks are normal — rankings recover and often improve on the faster store.
Can the store keep selling during the migration?
Yes. The new store is built alongside the old one, which keeps selling until the end — downtime happens only at the domain switch and usually lasts under an hour. The last orders are synced over manually after the transfer.
What data moves over?
Products with images and variants, customer accounts, order history, discount codes and content pages. Passwords cannot cross platforms — customers get a simple reset link on their first login.
